What is a financial coach?

A financial coach helps you create goals and actually stick with them so you’re not just dreaming about financial peace—you’re living it. A financial coach will walk you through the 7 Baby Steps, teach you teach you how to handle money the Ramsey way, and help you identify ways you can apply those principles to your personal goals.
Financial coaches often work with their clients over several sessions—focusing on anything from fine-tuning their budget and discovering your long-term goals to working through a real financial crisis.
Financial coaches are not financial advisors or certified financial planners. -
What is the difference between one-on-one coaching and group coaching?

Group coaching sessions take place over Zoom with a Ramsey financial coach and other SmartDollar users. You don’t need to share any personal information during these calls—simply show up to a scheduled coaching call and learn with your group.
In one-on-one coaching sessions, a coach will listen to your questions and concerns about your specific financial situation. They’ll walk you through the 7 Baby Steps and help you identify ways you can apply those principles to your personal goals.
One-on-one coaching sessions are private and don’t involve other SmartDollar users. All information shared with a financial coach during a one-on-one call remains confidential. Spouses can also join one-on-one coaching calls. -

How long does a coaching session last?

Group coaching sessions last for 50 minutes. You can attend more coaching sessions if you need more time or have more financial questions.

How does group coaching work?

Group coaching calls will cover a specific topic or provide space for you to ask questions. You’ll meet with a Ramsey financial coach and other SmartDollar users via Zoom to learn best practices for saving, spending and investing in your future.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from a coach in a supportive group setting. Active participation in discussion is encouraged for group coaching calls, but not necessary to attend—simply come ready to listen and learn. -
Do I have to share personal information? Can I just sit and listen?
