SmartDollar Points Scale
SmartDollar Points are designed to encourage users to create true behavior change. The greater the importance and required time of each activity, the greater the amount of points that can be earned. Engaged participants could earn 1,000 SmartDollar Points in the first 90 days and 3,500 points over the course of one year. However, there is no limit to the amount of points that can be earned.
SmartDollar Points can be a great help to any incentive program or giveaway you want to host. Check out our Guide for Incentives for inspiration.

Best Practices: Increase Activities and Engagement
Your employees signed up for SmartDollar, but now what? Why do they need points and activities? These two metrics work together to show you how your employees are using SmartDollar. When you see activities and points going up, you know your team is engaged and using the benefit your company purchased.
Try getting your team involved by using these action items below:
Leverage all forms of communication.
Email isn’t the only way to get users back into SmartDollar, but it is the most likely way to gain sign ups and reengage your employees. Utilize the top three performing campaign assets: plain text emails, flyers and media slides.
Host an internal giveaway.
Host a friendly competition for your employees where you set engagement rules. Giveaways are a great way to generate excitement and encourage employees to be active and learn in SmartDollar. Check out our Incentive Guide for ideas or use Host Your Own SmartDollar Challenge.
Give out swag.
Want to get your team started on saving their emergency funds? Think outside the box and order plastic piggy banks with your company logo to help save up. Encourage them to keep it with them throughout the day and add in their spare change. For a lower-lift effort, print out savings tracking sheets from SmartDollar for your team.
Host a lunch and learn event.
Encourage your team to eat and learn together by hosting SmartDollar lunches. Whether you're catering a lunch or saying bring your own lunch, you can provide a time-block for your team to gather together and watch course videos or even ask your relationship manager to do a webinar for you.
Remind SmartDollar users why they signed up.
Your employees joined SmartDollar to get their finances in order. Seasonal life challenges and busyness can be blockers to education. Remind your employees that they’re worth the time and investment!
Be creative when choosing promotional materials.
What topics are at the top of your employees' minds? Maybe it's mental health awareness, student loan debt or holiday shopping panic. SmartDollar has articles, courses and tools to give your employees confidence on a variety of topics. Need guidance? Check out our campaigns under Materials by Topic.
Pick a SmartDollar champion.
Pick one employee (or more!) that's passionate about SmartDollar and had financial success using it. This employee could be your most useful resource in generating more engagement. Have them share their experience and what helped them win with money. Don’t have a champion yet? Look in your Incentive Report to see who has the most activities and points.
Celebrate money wins.
Celebration doesn’t have to be a big thing. You don’t have to give out gift cards or PTO days to make someone feel special. Give them a shout-out on your communication platform or social media. People appreciate recognition and will continue performing to that level if you encourage them!
